role:
we are looking to recruit an experienced senior programmer with exceptional skills and ability in an agile and fast moving
development cycle. The ideal candidate will have at least two major projects under their belt and a proven ability at
developing innovate and high performance design solutions across various technical platforms.
required skills:
ï‚· a high level of technical ability in at least two major programming languages, e.g. C++, C#, C, Java
ï‚· a passion to learn and adapt to new technologies and find innovative solutions to difficult problems
ï‚· experience in keeping project focus even when the unexpected is happening
ï‚· advanced knowledge of programming techniques with a particular attention to algorithm design
ï‚· code optimisation skills in-particular application performance and memory efficiency
ï‚· proficiency in debugging unfamiliar legacy code
ï‚· an obsession with code quality and a loathing for reckless and risky coding techniques
ï‚· good academic qualifications, preferably at degree level
advantageous skills:
ï‚· C/C++ knowledge
ï‚· knowledge of the technical aspects of the Internet and the issues involved in developing real-time, high volume
global systems running 24/7
ï‚· programming on the Linux platform
ï‚· understanding of networking, network programming and security principles
